Old trains in action!
In this video shown above is a well known model train youtuber showing his layout. As you can see he uses a mix of trains and accessories from all of the eras. He is able to control audio on the trains with a more modern Bluetooth device aswell as remotely move them with the controller aswell. In the background you can see the traditional post war transformers that can also do the same thing. Many of the models in the video are classic models from the Hudson steam locomotives to the more modern diesel trains. A common size in the US is the O gauge, following HO gauge.
O gauge is a good size to get into if you have plenty of room to get into collecting trains, they are very common and most pre and post war trains were made in this size. The most popular size worldwide would be the HO gauge, or half O. being half the size of O gauge it is good for smaller sizes, albeit the details and the sounds from those smaller sizes are not as nice as the bigger models. Also shown in the video throughout are a load of accessories from buildings to towers aswell as custom built bridges for his layout.
